Inkluzivna kreativna radionica Čovjek Som i prijatelji

After the presentation of the sculpture Čovjek Som and its friends Galeb, Nofox, and Tremens, as well as the concept of the mobile sculptures Travelers accompanied by photos from the Travelers’ Diary, participants—children, youth, and adults from Croatia, England, and Germany—gathered. Introduced to the role of the artist, they worked individually, in pairs, or in small teams (children with parents or siblings), using a recycling technique with paper and tape to develop creatures around the theme of friendship, based on the idea that Čovjek Som, as a unique life form, longs for friends.

The creative process sparked conversations about friendship and feelings of loneliness in English and other languages, as well as through pantomime. Animated characters and imaginative creatures were shaped, such as Stitch (Experiment 626), Butterfly, Grasshopper**, Fish, and others. At the end, participants presented their creatures, exchanged contacts, and shared experiences of the emotional bond formed through creation—stronger than that with store-bought toys. The workshop was inclusive, and some participants continued spending time with Čovjek Som, spontaneously expanding networks of new acquaintances and inspiring further cultural initiatives.
